Easy, healthy, homemade black bean tostadas. High in protein, cheap, takes only 1 pan to cook them in, and they’re ready in minutes.
1 large yellow onion –minced
4 cans black beans –rinsed
2 cloves of garlic –minced/crushed
½ cup of water
Hot sauce (optional)
1 packet of taco seasoning
Ready made tostada shells
HOW TO MAKE;
Over medium heat, coat bottom of pan with olive oil and begin cooking onions. Add garlic and cook until onions are translucent.
Add seasoning packet and stir in the beans and the water.
Cook for about 4-5 minutes then mash up the beans. Turn off heat and set to the side.
Place re fried beans on top of corn tostadas or in corn taco shells and garnish with additional toppings
=Note= try to stay away from cheese and sour cream; this is where a lot of unwanted calories are going to come from
